Bangladesh recorded 1,197 new suspected measles cases and three more deaths in the past 24 hours, the country’s health authorities said on Sunday.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) health bulletin, 165 cases of measles were confirmed between 8am Saturday and 8am Sunday, with one confirmed death during the same period.
During the same period, 36 people died from confirmed measles, while 181 deaths were reported among suspected cases.
Besides, a total of 12,396 patients have recovered so far, the DGHS said.
