Popular actor Mahiya Mahi was awarded the “Best Actress” award and certificate at a function organised by Violets Group in Michigan, USA on Saturday for her role in the 2018 film “Jannat” directed by Mustafizur Rahman Manik.

She has been awarded for her impeccable performance in the film as well as for her achievement among the commercial heroines of Bangladeshi films and her skill in acting.

About the recognition, Mahiya Mahi said, “I have received the love of millions of Bengali-speaking viewers after pursuing a career in cinema for more than a decade. A few days ago, when the announcement of my return to acting with the movie “Artonad” came, I was overwhelmed with the love and wishes of the audience. I felt anew that the audience loves me so much as an actress and heroine from the bottom of my heart. My love increased even more after receiving the Best Actress award for my performance in ‘Jannat’ from Violets Group. I want to move forward with this love. I want to give the gift of better movies.”
