Young actor Prantar Dastider has become well-known to audiences by taking on various roles in series and films such as “Antanagar,” “840,” and “Jimmi.” In just two years, he has demonstrated his versatility across a wide range of characters. His recent web project, “Five Go Wild,” has also garnered positive feedback from the youth.

Prantar has a number of upcoming projects in the pipeline, including three full-fledged films: “Mosto Borolok,” “Sokhi Rongomala,” and the Liberation War film “Jibon Amar Bon,” all of which have received government grants.

Recently, he shared insights about these films and his future endeavors in an interview with Daily Sun.

Prantar shared, “Each of the characters in the films is completely different. In ‘Sokhi Rongomala’, I play the role of a Zaminder’s son from Noakhali, while in ‘Mosto Borolok’, I’ll be seen as a rich son. In ‘Jibon Amar Bon’, I am portraying a freedom fighter.”

He elaborated on his role in “Jibon Amar Bon,” where he plays the character Murad. Directed by Enayet Karim Babul and based on Mahmudul Haque’s novel, this role holds a special place in his heart. Prantar expressed, “I really like the character in the novel and have always wanted to act as a freedom fighter. I am very happy to have the opportunity to bring this character to life.”

The film features performances from Khairul Basar, Sharlin Farzana, Azad Abul Kalam, and many others. The shooting wrapped up on 4 August, and post-production work is set to begin soon, with plans for the film’s release later this year.

“Shokhi Rongomala” is adapted from the novel of the same name by Shaheen Akhtar and is directed by N. Rashed Chowdhury. Alongside Prantar, the film features Mostafizur Noor Imran and Nazifa Tushi in pivotal roles.

Prantar mentioned, “The first lot of shooting has been completed; the second part will be shot next month. Set against the backdrop of the 18th century, the film’s sets and costumes are designed accordingly. This has been a new experience for me, and I hope we captured the right vibe in the film.”

Another film, “Mosto Borolok,” is directed by Reza Ghalib and is based on the novel by fiction writer Manju Sarker. The shooting for this film was completed last February. The cast also includes Akash Hossain, AK Azad Setu, Sanjana Mehreen, Shampa Reza, Subrata Fardin, and more.

Prantar described his role in the film, saying, “I have played the role of a young man who grew up in a rich family. However, he cannot tolerate the inequality between the rich and poor in society. The story takes a turn when he makes a plan with his companion.”

Additionally, the “Antanagar” actor will soon appear in an OTT flick opposite Rukaiya Jahan Chamak. He also mentioned that he will be involved in several television projects, showcasing his versatility in both film and television.
