Awami League leader shot dead in Savar

Shawdes Desk: A local Awami League leader was shot dead and his friend was injured by a group of unidentified miscreants in Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka tonight (Saturday).
The deceased was identified as Abdul Mazid, 36, public affairs secretary of Savar municipality unit of AL and son of Abdul Khalek in Savar while the injured was the victim’s friend Swapan.
According to the statements of the family members, Mazid came under the attack by the miscreants near his residence in Baktarpur area of Savar municipality around 10:30pm.
