Police on Friday night arrested a man in a case filed for allegedly raping his twin daughters in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur.
The arrested is Jahangir Alam Kajol, a resident of Maona village in the upazila.
According to the victims’ relatives, Jahangir has been violating his twin girls for the last two months at their grandfather’s house at Dhonua village threatening them.
One day, the girls’ mother saw the incident as witness and lodged a case with Sreepur Police Station in this connection on Friday.
Sreepur Police Station sub-inspector Minhaj Uddin said the twin girls were sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for medical tests.
Jahangir got married for the second time without taking permission of the victims’ mother.
