Shawdesh Desk: At least four people were killed in road accidents in Bogura on Thursday.

Bogura highway police’s Kazal Kumar Nandi, sub-inspector of Kundarhaat station, confirmed the news saying that they had identified two among the dead.

A Dhaka-bound banana-laden lorry collided head on with a rod-laden lorry in Sherpur’s College Road area at around 4:00am that left the driver of the Dhaka-bound truck and his assistant dead on the spot and four others injured.

Later the rod-laden lorry’s driver Hafizul Islam, 32, died at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College, said Sherpur-Dhunat circle additional police superintendent Gaziur Rahman.

In another incident in Hazipur area, a housewife, Amena Khatun, 55, died on the spot as a Bogura-bound bus of Shyamoli Paribahan hit her at about 7:00am.
