BRTC bus set on fire in Dhaka’s Mirpur

A BRTC double-decker bus was set on fire by unidentified miscreants in Dhaka’s Mirpur area on Sunday afternoon amid the countrywide 48-hour blockade enforced by BNP, Jamaat and likeminded opposition parties.
The incident took place at about 3:42pm in front of Government Bangla College in Mirpur, said Rozina Akter, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
The fire was doused by local people before fire service units reached the spot, she told UNB.
No casualties were reported.
