After Bangabazar and New Market in the capital being gutted, Baitul Mukarram jewellery shops were exposed to fire on Monday.
The fire incident was reported at jewellery shops on the first floor of the market at 2:52pm. But the fire had been doused before three units of Fire Service and Civil Defence came.
Shahjahan Sikder, public relations officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the incident.
