Police recovered the body of a newborn girl in front of Math Building on Dhaka University campus on Tuesday morning.
Confirming the news, Md Zafar, a sub-inspector of Shahbagh Police Station, said being informed from 999 service, police rushed there and recovered the body around 11:30am.
“The body was wrapped in a towel. We are suspecting someone dropped the body in the area,” he said.
The cause of the death will be known after getting the autopsy report, he added.
