2nd channel of Bangabandhu Tunnel to be opened Friday

The second channel of Bangabandhu Tunnel under Karnaphuli river will be opened following completion of construction work on October 8.

Planning Minister MA Manan came up with this information after Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting on Tuesday (October 5).

The planning minister also said the scheduled date of opening of this tunnel is December 22, 2022.

But it is hoped that it would be possible to launch this tunnel before the scheduled date. It is of course a matter of great pleasure, he added.
