A passenger train derailed at a rail crossing in Purbadhala on the Zaria-Mymensingh route on Tuesday morning, snapping train communication.
Four wheels of the locomotive went off the tracks around 8am blocking the road, causing suffering to thousands of people.
Quoting Md Abdul Momen, an assistant booking assistant of the rail station, UNB said a relief train from Mymensingh was on its way to recover the locomotive.
