Mother ‘kills’ two children in Jhenaidah

Two minor children were killed after being thrown into a pond allegedly by their mother at Baniakanda village of Jhenaidah Sadar on Sunday noon.
The deceased were identified as Safia Khatun, 7 and Abu Saleh Mahid, 5.
Police have arrested the accused mother Monira Begum after the incident for interrogation.
The tragic incident took place at 12:00 pm this noon.
Emdadul Haque, officer-in-charge (OC-Investigation) of Sadar Police Station confirmed the news.
Police suspected that their mother killed her children by throwing them into a pond. The real cause of the death will be known after investigating, he said.
