Police arrested a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami in Chatogram in connection wiht several sabotage cases early Saturday.
The arrestee was identified as Abul Monsur, ameer of Chattogram’s Bakolia thana Jamaat unit.
He was wanted in “five to six cases filed over sabotage”, according to police.
Nizam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Bakalia Police Station, said they arrested Monsur from Bakalia area this morning acting on a tip-off.
He had been on the run for a long time.
