Shawdesh desk; Police have arrested 15 leaders and activists of Awami League, Jubo League, Sramik League and Chhatra League in a drive in Chittagong.

This information was given in a press release sent by the public relations department of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) on Saturday night.

The arrested are Shamsuddin, 39, Shahed, 26, Mahbub Alam, 52, Akbar Hossain, 23, Ramzan, 19, Zahidul Islam Shakib, 22, Hridoy Hasan, 19, Abbas Uddin, 30, Zakir Hossain, 25, Talha Zubair, 24, Mehedi Hasan Tushar, 26, Alamgir Badsha, 42, Mamun, 35, Monir, 37, and Imran Hossain, 40.

The press release said that 15 people, including the accused in the case filed in the attack on the anti-discrimination student movement, have been arrested in the last 24 hours. There are multiple cases against them under the Special Powers Act and the Anti-Terrorism Act, including attacks on students and the public during the anti-discrimination student movement.
