A Dhaka Court on Sunday imposed an international travel ban on Dhaka North City Corporation administrator Mohammad Ejaz in connection with graft allegations.
Dhaka Metropolitan senior special judge Md Sabbir Foyez passed the order following a petition of ACC, said ACC deputy director Md Aktarul Islam.
Earlier, the ACC launched an inquiry on November 30, 2025, into the allegations against Ejaz.
A two-member probe team, led by ACC assistant director Md Ashikur Rahman, is conducting the inquiry.
There is allegation of graft against him that several DNCC-related matters, including the lease of Gabtoli cattle market, the e-rickshaw project, alleged occupation of Borak Tower or Hotel Sheraton, allocation of shops at Banani kitchen market, construction and allocation of shops in the parking area of Khilgaon Taltola Super Market, the city corporation’s van service, and the allocation of shops on footpaths.
The interim government appointed Mohammad Ejaz as DNCC administrator for a one-year term on February 12 last year.
