3 Bangladeshi family members stabbed dead in Italy’s Rome

Three members of a Bangladeshi family were stabbed to death and one was injured critically during an attack at their residence in Italy’s capital Rome on Friday night, according to a Bangla news portal.
The incident happened around 9PM local time at a residential flat in the Aurelio area.

The deceased were identified as Kamal Uddin, 39, his wife Arzu, 38, and their six-year-old daughter Arisha.

The only survivor is the couple’s eldest child Ayon, who is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Italian authorities said the victims were attacked with a sharp weapon inside their home. Another member of the family sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

Local reports, including Italian news agencies ANSA and AGI, said the victims were of Bangladeshi origin and hailed from Companiganj upazila in Noakhali.

Police said the family had no known criminal record.
