Prime Minister’s Information Adviser Zahed Ur Rahman has said that it will be decided by the court whether the Awami League will be banned as a political party.
While responding to journalists on Tuesday, he said, ”I think they are there for symbolic reasons. The Awami League is a party whose activities have been banned. In fact, it is not technically correct to say that the party itself has been banned. If we speak technically, whether the Awami League as a party will be banned or not needs to be clarified, and that decision will be made by the court, specifically the International Crimes Tribunal.”
