BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir believes that the future development of Bangladesh depends largely on its youth.
He made this remark while speaking to journalists on Saturday after paying tribute at the graves of former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia at Zia Udyan in the capital.
He visited the mausoleum alongwith the leaders of the newly formed full central committee of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal.
The BNP Secretary General said, “Today, we have come here with the leaders of the full committee of Jubo Dal to pay our respects to our party’s founder, the pioneer of multi-party democracy and former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman and to our leader Begum Khaleda Zia, who advanced democracy through a long struggle.
”We prayed that Almighty Allah grants this committee the strength, courage, and wisdom to build Jubo Dal into a strong organization throughout the country and to work for the welfare of the nation.”
Following the tribute, a special prayer was offered seeking eternal peace and forgiveness for the souls of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia.
