Fire breaks out at Ctg shopping mall

A fire broke out at a shopping complex in Sholoshohor area of Chattogram port city on Saturday.
Jashim Uddin, assistant director of the Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence said that the fire originated at a shop on the ground floor of the ‘Chattogram Shopping Complex’ at about 10:00am at gate no 2 of the city and spread soon.
On information, five firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after about an hour.
It is suspected that the fire might have originated from a short circuit.
The extent of the damage caused by the fire will be determined after investigation.
