Speaker’s wife Dilara Hafiz passes away

Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed’s wife Dilara Hafiz passed away on Saturday at the age of 78.
She died at 1:30pm local time in Singapore while undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital, Bangladesh Nationalist Party media cell confirmed.
Dilara Hafiz was survived by her husband, a son, a daughter, grandchildren, and numerous well-wishers.
Her body will be brought back to Bangladesh on Sunday evening.
The first funeral prayer is scheduled to take place on Monday at 11:00am at the South Plaza of the National Parliament.
Following this, additional funeral prayers will be held after Zuhr prayer at the Central Mosque in the Cantonment.
She will be laid to rest at the Banani Military Graveyard.
