Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain presides over JS’s initial session

Bangladesh Nationalist Party leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, elected from the Cumilla-1 constituency, presided over the first sitting of the first session of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday.
Mosharraf performed the role until the speaker and deputy speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad were elected.
His name to preside over the session was proposed by the leader of the House and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
Deputy opposition leader Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher appreciated the proposal.
Mosharraf took the chair at 11:26am.
