Man, his daughter killed in Dhaka road accident

A 45-year-old man and his daughter were killed when a truck hit a motorbike in Science Lab area of the capital on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Saju Ahmed Sumon and his daughter Sumaiya Ahmed Trisha, residents of Shahjahanpur area.
The accident took place at about 11:00pm when the truck hit the motorcycle carrying the duo while they were heading towards their home, leaving Saju Ahmed dead on the spot and his daughter injured, said sub-inspector of New Market Police Station, Mahmudul.
The injured girl was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
Police arrested the driver and seized the truck.
