BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has been elected as the leader of the parliamentary party.
He was elected parliamentary party leader in a meeting of BNP’s parliamentary party at the meeting room in Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at about 11.30 am today, BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan told reporters.
Earlier, the newly elected parliament members (MPs) of BNP in the 13th national elections took oath of office at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) here.
Under the leadership of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, a total 24 individuals have been appointed as state ministers in the new government.
They will take their oath on Tuesday afternoon at the South Plaza of the National Parliament, administered by Mohammed Shahabuddin.
