He said that institutions play a vital role in shaping individuals with strong moral values, and without this foundation, true contributions to the country are not possible. According to him, only through ethical education and moral integrity can a nation truly benefit.
He made these remarks on Saturday (July 19) while addressing the closing ceremony of the 3rd International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Applied Science at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in Mirpur Cantonment, where he attended as the chief guest.
The Army Chief said, “It’s not enough to be a good engineer — you must also be an honest and disciplined person to truly contribute to your country. We are producing many excellent scholars, engineers, doctors, civil servants, and military officers. But if they lack ethical values, if they are not good people, then the country will not truly benefit from their work.”
