Fire at Shahbagh scrapyard under control

A fire that broke out at the scrapyard behind the Shahbagh police station in Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon has been brought under control.
The fire started around 2:45pm while the first unit reached the spot at 2:58pm, according to the media cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Three firefighting units tamed the blaze around 3:20pm, it added.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
