Armed forces will be deployed on the ground from Wednesday (January 3) to perform election duties.
A press release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in this regard on Tuesday confirmed the matter.
They will remain on the field from January 3-10 to support the Election Commission or local civil administrations to ensure law and order before and after election.
The 12th national polls will be held on January 7.
