Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder and freedom fighter Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury was put on life support on Monday.
He is now undergoing treatment at Gonoshasthaya Kendra Hospital at Dhanmondi in the capital.
He has been suffering from kidney ailments for long. For the last some days, he has been suffering from old-age complications.
Medical Board Chief Coordinator Professor Brig Gen (retired) Mmaum Mostafi confirmed the matter to media.
