5 killed in road accidents in Sunamganj, Barishal

At least five people were killed in separate road accidents in two districts.

In Sunamganj, two people were killed in a head-on collision between a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a trolley in Jagannathpur upazila on Sunday morning.

One of the deceased was identified as Amir Ali, 45 of Rasulpur village in the upazila

 

Quoting locals, Obayed Ullah, sub-inspector of Jagannathpur Police Station, said the auto-rickshaw collided with the trolley on Raniganj road at 8:00am, leaving two, including the auto-rickshaw driver, killed on the spot.

In Barishal, three men were killed after a truck hit their motorcycle on Muladi-Hizla road in Kajirchar area on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Harun Nali, 25, Idris Nali, 45 and Rajib Nali, 25.

SNM Maksudur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Muladi Police Station, confirmed the matter.
