Houses, shops gutted in Rangamati fire

Shawdesh Desk: A number of houses and shops were gutted in a fire at Mainimukh Bazar in Langadu upazila of Rangamati on early Wednesday.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from an oven at a house around 12:45am and quickly engulfed the adjoining houses and shops.
Two firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after five hours of frantic efforts.
Affected shop and house owners claimed that the extent of the loss is up to Tk 4 crore.
