More than 150 cops fell sick after eating at a restaurant in Cumilla on Wednesday night.
The policemen were deployed there for duty at by-election to Brahmanpara Upazila Parishad in Cumilla.
Nazmul Alam, officer-in-charge of Brahmanpara Police Station, confirmed the news.
Among them, at least 33 of the policemen and eight drivers of requisitioned vehicles were admitted to Brahmanpara Upazila Health Complex while another at Comilla Medical College Hospital, he said.
Dr Md Niatuzzaman, Civil Surgeon of Cumilla district, visited the health Complex this morning to inquire about their treatment.
