Legendary actress Salma Begum Sujata, known anonymously as Sujata, has been admitted to a hospital in the capital after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday morning.
The Rupban famed actress is currently being kept in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital.
Zayed Khan, general secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association, confirmed the matter.
Zayed Khan urged countrymen to pray for her quick recovery.
She is best known for her role in Rupban (1965) as Rupban Konna. In 2017, she became the recipient of Bangladesh National Film award for Lifetime Achievement.
Azim married actress Sujata on 30 June 1967.
