Padma Bridge: 36th span to be installed today

If inclement weather and technical complications do not occur, the 36th span of Padma Bridge may be installed today (Thursday).
The span will be installed on the pillars 2 and 3 at Mawa point.
After installation of the span, 5,400 meters of the bridge will be visible.
In October, a total of four spans were installed. Four more spans are expected to be installed in the current month.
The 150 meters long span has to be brought from Mawa Construction Yard in Munshiganj by a floating crane and be installed on the pillars.
The 6.15km-long bridge will have a total of 41 spans.
