Another Bangladesh Bank official has died from COVID-19 – the second known fatality caused by the new coronavirus among the officials and employees of the central bank of the country.
Sheikh Farid Uddin Soad, joint director of the bank, breathed his last at Holy Family Hospital in the capital on Monday morning while undergoing treatment.
Sirajul Islam, Executive Director and spokesman of Bangladesh Bank, confirmed the news.
