UP member shot dead in Rangamati

A Union Parishad (UP) member was shot dead by armed criminals at Dhamaipara area in Banjogichara union of Jurachori upazila in Rangamati on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Hemonto Chakma, 37, a member of Banjogichara union.

Santos Kumar Chakma, chairman of the Union Parishad, confirmed the news.
