Food officer held while taking bribe in Khulna

Shawdesh Desk: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday arrested Khulna’s Dumuria upazila food officer Ilias Hossain on charge of taking bribe from a local businessman, Assistant Director of ACC Tarun Kanti Mondal said.
“He was arrested by ACC officials while taking Taka one lakh as bribe from Kamrul Islam, a rice mill owner, around 11.30 am today at his office,” he said.
ACC handed him over to local Police Station along with bribe money.
Processing is underway to lodge a case with Dumuria Police Station.
