Shawdesh Desk: Traffic movement on Progoti Sarani road in the capital came to a halt on Tuesday as rickshaw-pullers and workers concerned blocked different points of the Rampura-Badda road protesting ban on plying of rickshaws on three major roads.
According to our correspondents, rickshaw-pullers blocked Rampura-Badda road. They were seen protesting at Kuril, Fuji Tower of Uttar Badda and Rampura Wapda Road.
The pullers of rickshaws also staged sit-in in front of Khilgaon rail gate in the capital.

According to media report, city dwellers, including office-goers, students were facing extrteme sufferings due to halt of vehicular movement. People were being compelled to go their desired destinations on foot finding no vehicle on the roads.
Earlier on Monday, rickshaw-pullers and relevant workers blocked roads demanding withdrawal of ban on plying rickshaws on three major roads in the capital.
They started staging sit-in different spots in the capital such as Mugda, Maniknagar, Manda and many other areas since morning.
Confirming the news, Mugda police station duty officer ASI Nazrul Islam said rickshaw pullers and their owners have staged sit-in from Mugda Biswa Road to Maniknagar Biswa Road.
