Shawdesh Desk: Police arrested three staff of Shohagh Paribahan on Saturday night for attempting to rape a female student of Chittagong University (CU) on a moving bus.

The arrestees were identified as supervisor Abbas Ali, driver Ahasan and his assistant Bhutto.

Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Chandgaon Police Station, said a detective branch (DB) team conducted the drive and arrested the trio from Chandgaon around 9:30am.
They were taken to DB office for interrogation.

On November 27, the female student was returning from her sister’s house by a bus of Shohagh Paribhan when the trio tried to rape her.

The student managed to escape. The incident came to light after she posted about it on Facebook.
